An excerpt from Red Sky's a Blazin' (p 32-34):
A brief historic summary of how Israel became a nation would be very fitting right now. Most people do not know how utterly miraculous the formation and protection of the State of Israel was and is.
Chaim Weizmann was born in Motol, Russia, in 1874. He received a Doctor of Science Degree from the University of Freiburg in Germany. After moving to England in 1904, he discovered a way of producing a synthetic acetone used in smokeless gunpowder. This shortened World War I and saved many British lives. The British government, wanting to reward Weizmann, became aware of his desire for a Jewish homeland. Weizmann was the catalyst to influence the writing of the Balfour Declaration of 1917 which pointed to the creation of a Jewish national home.
During World War I when General Allenby captured Palestine, the Turkish Muslim rule of this part of the world ended. According to previous declarations by the British government and the League of Nations, Israel was supposed to receive the majority of the land. Ultimately for political reasons, the Arabs were awarded a major part of the area. Since Arabs did not want the Jews to have any land at all, a war has continued.
The British government, siding with the Arabs, received the brunt of the Israel's Freedom Fighter Movement. The Jewish underground tactics were so intense that the British pulled out of Palestine. On May 14, 1948, David Ben-Gurion declared the name of the home of the Jews "Israel." The very next day on the fifteenth of May, the Arab armies of Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and Transjordan attacked the little, newly formed State of Israel.
This turned out to be another David and Goliath with the same miraculous results. The big bully on the block not only got all his teeth knocked out, but he also went home with his tail between his legs and two of the biggest black eyes you have ever seen. The Jews fought with a determination only matched before in the Old Testament in David and his mighty men. This time it was David Ben-Gurion and his mighty men. This man's courageous spirit inspired a whole generation of Jewish warriors. Many of those who lived through the Nazi Holocaust were nto in a life or death struggle to survive.
But note the miracle! The Arab armies had approximately 700,000 men. Israel had 45,000 with 15,000 weapons. Many of the Israelis charged into battle in the hopes that they could take a weapon from an enemy soldier. Israel had no modern fighter planes to face the Arab's modern jet air force. Right before the battle, some Jewish patriots flew in World War II German Messerschmitts. With these moth-balled planes and Michael the archangel with his angels, the Jews were able to turn back the Arab jet air force, clear the skies above Israel, and win decisively in the battle. Israel was able to defeat five Arab nations heavily equipped with modern arms.
How did they do that? The modern birth and survival of Israel predicted in the Scripture was brought forth by the direct hand of Almighty God!! Michael and his angels have been assigned by God to protect the Jews and do other mighty works. (Daniel 10:13, 21; Daniel 12:1; Revelation 12:7) During the Great Tribulation, Michael and his angels will protect a Jewish remnant for the last three and one half years. Daniel 12:1 says, "And at that time Michael shall stand up, the great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, every one who is found written in the book." (NKJV)
During this battle, Jewish religious leaders were claiming Leviticus 26:8, "And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword." The modern establishment of Israel as a nation is one of the reasons the Rapture of the church is near.

An excerpt from Red Sky's A Blazin' written April 2008 (p. 117). These nations--Libya, Iran, and Egypt--are presently in the process of strengthening their Muslim hold in these countries. Russia and the Muslim hold will be obliterated by God!
Who Will Come With Russia?
The nations coming with Russia are listed in Ezekiel 38:1-6. They are Meshech, Tubal, Persia, Ethiopia, Libya, Gomer, Beth-togarmah, and many people with them. Scholars tell us that these make up the nations of Central Asia, Turkey, Iran, Sudan, and Libya. The "many people with thee" in verse six could be such nations as Syria and Egypt, to name a couple. These are Muslim nations who have a great hatred for Israel.
Gog will be the leader or chief from Russia. The leadership of Russia, the communists, have been very outspoken athiests. I remember the cosmonauts on their first orbit in space mockingly saying that they didn't see God there.
These nations led by Russia will come like a storm (38:9) and like a cloud that covers the land (38:9). Israel in her false security under the umbrella of the Antichrist has no doubt abandoned much of her military and now is at the complete mercy of God. And I might say, for Israel, it's a pretty good place to be.
Overview of Prophecy Ministry
Evangelist Sharbaugh has been a student of prophecy for 39 years and has preached on this subject his entire ministry.
Norm's prophetic ministry has its basis in his beliefs in the premillenial return of Christ. The church will be raptured to meet the Lord in the air before the seven years of Tribulation. The Tribulation will be culminated by the Revelation of Christ in power and great glory to sit upon the throne of David and to establish the Millennial Kingdom.

The signs basically will have their ultimate fulfillment during the tribulation period. The object is to put reality to the seal events by showing that the war depicted will equal 25 World War 2’s going on at one time. The World Church of Revelation 17 is depicted in the fifth seal drunk with the blood of the saints.

The theological liberals reject these colossal judgments. Because they are not reality to us today doesn’t mean that these events will not take place. They will be reality some day.This slide presentation takes the Trumpet and Bowl Judgments one by one, and believing God’s Word for what it says, reveals the terrifying reality of God’s judgment to a Christ-rejecting world. The enormous pressure of this time will cause multitudes to repent and come to Christ.
8. The Battles of Armageddon (powerpoint)
This message in slides reveals the geographical area of the land of Palestine where the significant events of these wars will take place. The central figure is the Lord Jesus Christ. A chronology of His return, descent to Jordan to rescue the remnant of Jewish believers protected by Michael the Archangel, and war upon the Christ rejecting armies of the world through the entire 180 mile length of Palestine. The battles are so intense that the blood of the enemies of Christ forms a creek four feet high through the entire 180 mile stretch of land. A scientific proof is given that this description of blood is literal, and not figurative as some prophetic Bible teacher of today have preached.
